Pilot Volunteer Fund 2011

AusAID has established the Pilot Volunteer Fund for 2011 and is calling for activity proposals for funding under the fund. Australian entities with a demonstrated commitment to international development volunteering will be invited to apply.

The volunteer fund is intended to be an annual small grants scheme to provide an avenue for a broad range of organisations to undertake volunteering initiatives with financial support from the Australian Government.

The pilot fund will generate key learnings to be used in the development of the subsequent full volunteer fund. Activity proposals under this year's pilot fund will focus on mobilising volunteers on assignments to developing countries. The subsequent full volunteer fund will consider a broader range of activities.

The deadline for submissions of activity proposals has been extended from 5pm AEDT 13 January to 5pm AEDT 31 January 2011.
