  • promote and strengthen national or regional human rights institutions or mechanisms.

Human Rights Grants Scheme Expert Panel

The Human Rights Grants Scheme is overseen by an independent panel of eight Australian human rights experts. The Panel was appointed in 2009 to make funding recommendations to the Minister for Foreign Affairs. The Panel contributes an invaluable wealth of experience and knowledge to the grants selection process and ensures that funding is provided in areas with the greatest need.
