Pacific Public Sector Linkages Program (Pacific PSLP)

Applications for funding under the Pacific PSLP for 2010–11 are now open.
Applications close at 5 pm AEDT on 12 March 2010.

Pacific PSLP offers departments and agencies of Australian federal, state and territory governments the opportunity to compete for grant funding that will:

  • Build capacity in Pacific partner governments and Pacific regional organisations
  • Foster development-focussed links between Australian and Pacific public sector agencies.

Grants are generally, but not necessarily, between $50,000 and $250,000 per annum. Activities must start in 2010–11 and be complete by 30 June 2013.

Activities funded

Activities must:

  • have a primary developmental focus
  • clearly identify sustainable benefits to the partner country(ies) or Pacific regional organisation
  • be planned and implemented jointly with the counterpart organisations concerned.

Activities will be delivered mainly in the form of technical assistance and training, and can include:

  • institutional strengthening and/or capacity-building in partner countries
  • short-term training in the partner country, Australia or the Pacific region
  • in-Australia secondments and work attachments
  • secondments of Australian staff in the partner country or regional organisation, and/or
  • applied policy research, feasibility studies and small projects (excluding basic research).

2010–11 application round

The 2010–11 application round opened on 1 February 2010 and closes at 5 pm AEDT on 12 March 2010.

There is only one application round each year.
