Clinton Foundation HIV/AIDS Initiative: Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Program
Objectives: This program aims to build capacity for Xinjiang to treat increasing numbers of HIV/AIDS patients at a high standard of quality within a continuum of supportive services retaining patients in care.

Project Components:
- Assessments: the Foundation will support Xinjiang to assess the following areas of its care and treatment program:
- Increasing Patient Access to Care: Programs Coordinating Patient Identification and Referral at Specific Entry Points
- Increasing Medical System Capacity for Delivering High-Quality Care and Treatment:
- Clinical/Technical Human Resource Capability:
- Viral Load Testing Capacity (pilot to begin incorporating VL into monitoring of treatment)
- Medical System Development
- Models for Comprehensive Longitudinal HIV/AIDS Care and Treatment Management:
- Integration of Medical Delivery System with Other Systems:
- Supporting Adherence and Case Follow-up
Outcomes:
The outcomes of the program are the following:
- Increase the number of patients in care and on ARV treatment
- Maximize the number of patients who are treated successfully and retained in care
- Create sustainable replicable models.
