Australia funds programs to teach locals about the risks of landmines and how to avoid them.

Programs focus on practical solutions, such as training women in the use of stoves to reduce the risks of venturing on to mine contaminated land to harvest firewood.

A pantomime demonstrates to illiterate villagers the dangers of landmines, what to do and who to contact when they find one.
