The CDC began in 1975 as a significant engagement between the NGO community and the Australian Government's aid program. Over the years the nature of engagement between AusAID and Professional Development NGOs has changed and the number and scope of engagement opportunities has expanded. To reflect this, a revised CDC Terms of Reference (ToR) was submitted to the CDC in April 2006 and is currently under consideration. This revised CDC ToR highlights the CDC's crucial role in relation to the continuous improvement of accreditation and ANCP policies. CDC meetings are held a minimum of twice a year and are chaired by the Director of AusAID's Community Programs Section. AusAID also provides a limited secretariat service to the CDC. 2006 |
