As the Annual Report is an important means of communication between the NGO and their supporters it is important that Australian Government assistance is acknowledged. Reference to AusAID support must be made in the body or narrative of the Annual Report in addition to listing income from AusAID in the financial statements. Each NGO may develop their own means of identifying AusAID support, but the following are examples of statements that AusAID considers appropriate and could be used in Annual Reports:
Using the ANCP 3:1 match in fundraising materialsEach year, accredited NGOs are eligible to receive a 3:1 matching grant through the ANCP. NGOs may wish to use the matching element in their fundraising materials to attract donations. It is important that the relationship between donations and the ANCP grant is correctly represented and does not mislead the public.
