Statistics and the Aid Program

AusAID provides the official statistics on the Australian overseas aid program.

We respond to requests for information from members of Parliament, other public sector agencies, the development cooperation community, private individuals, recipient country government agencies, and other international donor organisations.

Our international reporting provides for performance comparisons between donor countries, enhances research into aid and promotes informed public comment on, and analysis of, aid issues.

AusAID works closely with the Development Assistance Committee (DAC) of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). DAC publishes statistics and reports on aid and other resource flows to developing countries and countries in transition, based principally on reporting provided to them by DAC members such as Australia.
