Australian Development Research Awards

2009 Funding Round

Twelve grants totalling $4.6 million over three years have been awarded under AusAID's 2009 Australian Development Research Awards Funding Round.

Applications were called for in July 2009. There was a very positive response with 217 applications received under the following themes:

Disability
Economics
Gender
Performance-linked Aid

AusAID received applications from a wide range of research organisations and from a variety of countries, especially from throughout the Asia Pacific region.

The Research Selection Committees shortlisted 24 applications, which were then externally peer reviewed, with comments also received from AusAID programs and Posts. Twelve grants were awarded with funding of $4.6 million over three years.
