Australian Scholarships

Australian Scholarships is an Australian Government initiative to build partnerships and increase mutual understanding, knowledge and innovation in the Asia Pacific region.

Australian Development Scholarships

The Australian Development Scholarship program contributes to Vietnam's long-term development by promoting good governance, economic growth and human development. Since 1992, over 2000 Vietnamese scholars have graduated from Australian universities with Australian Government scholarship assistance, representing an investment of more than AUD200 million.

Today, Australian Development Scholarships are a very important and well recognised element of Australia's bilateral development cooperation with Vietnam, with a 150 scholarships awarded annually. This accounts for approximately 20 (or over AUD 16 million) of the current program budget.

These scholarships opportunities provided the scholars with the necessary skills and knowledge to influence the development outcomes of their own country.

Australian Leadership Awards Scholarships

Australian Leadership Awards Scholarships focus on potential Vietnamese leaders who can influence social and economic policy reform and development outcomes in both their own country and in the Asia-Pacific region.

Australian Leadership Awards Scholarships provide for post-graduate studies (masters and doctorate level) in Australia.

Australian Leadership Awards Fellowships

The Australian Leadership Awards Fellowships is a new award available to current and future Vietnamese leaders. Australian Leadership Awards Fellowship are for short-term study, research and professional attachment programs in Australia delivered by Australian organisations.

The Fellowships offer professional development opportunities using existing linkages between Australia and Vietnamse.
